as I was sitting down to create a mood-board for an upcoming website: it’s funny that I am spending all this energy trying to help the client share (and approve) the vision of the design I have in mind. When what really makes a website successful or not is not so much how it looks, but how it functions. A web experience is all about interaction.
Instead of interesting the client about how their new website looks, isn’t it more effective to get them on board with how it acts? So instead of filling a mood-board with colors, fonts and textures — how about creating a “function-board” that will engage your client on the best navigation system for their needs, or examples of good ways to present their product on the homepage?
